Devlog 10: The finish line


The finish line

The game jam has reached it's end, it's been a fun experience and Cubed is ready to venture into the world!

The last week has been all about playtesting, feedback and trying to find possible bugs.

Final changes

For our final build there have been some minor polishing changes based on feedback we've been getting from a testbuild we've made. 

We have replaced the QUIT button in the Game Over screen with a button that directs you to the Main Menu. 

We also added particle effects to the character for when the player is walking or standing on top of a comfort block aswell as some screenshake effects for nearby exploding blocks. 

We've added general sound effects for the spikes activation, when you die by falling of the map, one for dying by the spikes and a fitting sound for the comfort block particle. Furthermore we replaced the splash sound effect for when the player lands in the water, as we saw in hindsight it wasn't fitting. 

Lots of small fixes were added: pausing the double jump animation, pausing spike blocks, using arrow keys and mouse for camera rotation, stop sweat particle at the correct moments, shark aggressiveness, texture streaming...

So in general just a lot of tweaking and adding ^-^.
